Write Down the Vision

           Author Victoria Sheffield

Write down the vision and make it plain. Are you a business owner or someone that wants to start a new business? Maybe you have an idea or God has shown you your destiny. There are times when we have a new idea or vision about our current business but we are a little apprehensive or overwhelmed with what we need to do in order to execute our plans. My question is why are we so overwhelmed if God is ordering our footsteps? Maybe the vision seems much bigger than us. Maybe our destiny is huge. Every business must start somewhere. We must learn to crawl before we walk. Maybe writing a business plan or hiring someone to do so is just too much right now. Why not write down all of your ideas on paper and then write an outline of what is needed to bring this vision to pass. Your outline can one day turn into a business plan if you wish to have one. Making realistic goals is key. No business is worth stressing out over. Doing a little everyday will help achieve the goals of climbing the ladder of success. Writing down the vision helps the business owner see what has been accomplished and what needs to be done. Take one step at a time and remember to make the vision plain. (realistic)

Then the LORD replied: "Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it.

Invest In You!

Today I am on a roll. I haven't written in about four days and I am feeling crazy! :) Anyways on last week I visited my mom and sister. All of us work within the fashion industry. My sister had just purchased this beautiful book that has a lot of money making ideas for people that sew and the patterns were also in the book. I thought to myself wow! A person that sews for a living could make a lot of money off of that book. Now she only paid seventeen dollars for the book but she can make money using it for the rest of her life if she chooses.

So where am I going with this? Invest in you!!! You know there is just no way to get around it. If you are a business owner, then you should already know that marketing and purchasing supplies to make your business better is one of the most important ways to make any business grow. I purchase supplies all the time. Sometimes I take money that I earn form one business and put it into another. Books I purchase every so often because if I can learn anything that will help my business grow, then I will invest a small amount of money because I know I will get a return in the end.

I notice that people are so scared to spend a little money. Sure there are a lot of ways to market and grow a business but at some point us business owners will need to spend some money. I have several business and marketing books and because I am a vendor, I purchase books much like the one my sister actually ended up letting me borrow to help me with new ideas. I look at the books and supplies as investments. Now why purchase things on and if. I don't get into this. If I purchase this book, maybe my business will grow. Now every now and then it's good to take small risk but I only invest in things and books that I know will take my businesses to the next level.

Thanks for visiting my blog! I really hope that something I wrote will make you think about your business differently. I hope it will also motivate you to Invest In You!

Raise Funds for Your Non-Profit or Organization

So today I want to share with you ladies a unique site that I learned about earlier this week. I thought it may be something that some of you might be interested in. If you have a non-profit like me or any organization or ministry that raises money for causes this is an nice platform to use that won't cost you a penny. A good friend of mines introduced me to it. It's a way online to start a fundraising campaign for what ever the cause may be. They even give you a link to share on your social media network sites. I love the fact that this is another opportunity to share with your followers just what you do and give them an opportunity to donate from your customized page.

If you are interested in learning more you can sign-up below. I will even share my link and my friends link so that you can see what we did. Now my page does not have a lot of detail but I did leave my link where they can view my website. The cool thing about this is that the page can be done however the fundraiser wants. I also love the fact that they even give users a HTML code that can be embedded into their website. So when ever people visit your site, they can just hit the gofundme button and donate their. If fundraisers have a blog that code can be added that blog as well.

So you can get started here:

This Lady Became a Millionaire From an Idea She Started at Home!

A few days ago I ran across a book in one of my favorite stores. I love to read books that I can learn from and books that help me succeed in business. The title alone caught my attention." Millionaire Mommy" We all may not be mommies but the word millionaire sounds good to me!

Here is a story about a lady that started a business on her kitchen table making accessories and other things for children. She went through many hardships but was determined not to give up. In fact just when she was gonna give up, she turned into  millionaire over-night. What a remarkable story.

We that are in business for ourselves know just how hard it can be at times. There are the ups and the downs. There are those times when we say ok when will I see a return. In fact it can seem like we are putting more into it than we are getting out of it.

If you are at that place of tired or giving up, I urge you to get a copy of this book just as I did. I feel energized and ready again t go full force with my businesses. She shares intimate details and just how she did it. She even reveals information as to how you too can accomplish just what she did, where and just what business owners need to do and be aware of.

Give & You Shall Receive!

Ladies today I wanted to share with you something that is on my mind. What better way to gain exposure other than by giving away something free. I want to use something as an example. Here is a little history for you. Have you ever wondered where coupons came from? Well I never thought about it but I did a little research and found out something interesting.

The History of Coupons

In 1887 the Coca Cola Company was incorporated in Atlanta, Georgia, with Asa Candler as one of the partners. He transformed Coca-Cola from a soft drink that no one knew about to one that eight billion people were able to sample.
He did this by writing hand written tickets that were later put in magazines and were delivered to households in every state. The rest is pretty much history. He gave away free syrup to people that owned soda fountains.  His marketing approach worked!
My husband and I love to cook. We have both done a little cooking hear and there for profit. We learned early on that if people were to purchase what we were selling that they needed to know if we could really cook. So we would bake and cook just about anything and cut it up in small pieces and use tooth picks to allow people to sample. Yes this cost money but the end return was always good. This is a great idea for a person that cooks for a living or sells cosmetics like me. Not every business can utilize samples but think about the success of the Coca Company. You may have a business that offers services. Maybe you could give away a free service each month. This is a great way to get the word out about what you do.
